Security Platform Engineer - CASB

POSITION SUMMARY

The Security Platform Engineer (SPE) is a seasoned expert, responsible for strengthening the security posture of customer environments. The Security Platform Engineer manages the technical aspects of customer systems and is primarily responsible for solution uptime, availability, and problem troubleshooting. SPEs are also responsible for the technical development of various clientsí security solutions such as Data Loss Prevention (DLP) and Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB).

He or she must ensure that all tasks performed adhere to the firmís ISO 27001 Information Security Management System (ISMS). This includes participation in annual information and network security training and acceptance of spot checks on an ad hoc basis to guarantee that InteliSecure is constantly improving upon the organizationís ISMS. Each member of our team must understand the importance of the ISMS and the corresponding handling of customer data.

DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Act as a technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) for CASB products and a mentor for junior engineers

  • Point of escalation for technical issues

  • Lead system upgrades, patching and break/fix scenarios

  • Lead troubleshooting and break/fix scenarios

  • Aids Senior Program Analyst (SPA) to develop, configure and tune policies/rules for customersí systems

  • Ensures optimal system configuration and server tuning

  • Escalate complex problems via a defined escalation path to our vendors

  • Utilize internal CRM for problem tracking and project development; inspect change requests for accuracy

  • Assist the team in meeting all customer SLAs

  • Maintain awareness of industry trends, security news, and best practices

  • Take on-call rotation after hours and on weekends, serving as a point of escalation as necessary

  • Provide flexibility with schedule to cover job requirements

OTHER FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Background in information security or network security

  • Corporate computer networking, technical support, system administration, Windows, Unix/Linux Operating System administration

  • Bachelorís Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline. Experience may be considered in lieu of a degree

  • 1-2 years of comprehensive DLP (Symantec, McAfee, or Forcepoint) and CASB (CloudSOC/Elastica, Skyhigh/NVISION Cloud, or NetSkope) experience

  • Passion to find innovative and creative solutions to complex problems

  • Ability to work effectively with team members and clients

  • Possess the creativity and diplomatic tenacity to challenge the current model to improve efficiency and efficacy

  • Self-motivated, with ability to manage and follow up on multiple tasks simultaneously

  • Ability to communicate complex ideas and solutions to a variety of audiences

  • Strong time-management skills

PREFERRED:

  • 1-2 years of comprehensive web/email gateway experience

  • SQL or Oracle Database experience

  • Regular expression experience

  • Scripting knowledge of Perl, Python, Java, or Bash

  • Vendor certifications in supported products

  • Industry certifications such as CISSP, Network+, Security+, etc.
